Hi from Oklahoma, also new here.
I was over seas in Afghanistan (twice) and then in South American for the military when Firefly aired, so I knew nothing about it until is was too late.
It was roughly 2007 when I ran across a Firefly CD set and bought it, took it home and watched. I watched every episode that night and then bought the movie. I think a lot of guys/girls that loved westerns and science fiction were also over seas or in some type of training when this came out. Plus the rest of the world was caring about loved ones over seas and watching the news and not programs. I am sorry to see this one failed and returned long enough to make a movie. But for Halloween I made up a Mal and Jayne custom for me and a Kaylee for the wife. But would like to perfect them even more.
A good Brown coat and pair of Mal’s boots would be great.
Jayne pistol, I bought the resin white one and painted it, not very well. I do have the replica of the pistol but none of the silver parts for it. Would love to have a Vera but the cheapest I found ( a good one) was $800.00 USD, I can buy a real gun for that much.
