I get a bunch of question on my "Vera" I am going try and explain some of what I've done... this is what I started with... a Nerf Recon 6 I had this gun just for fun with the kids. I needed something to add to my Jayne costume, so I grab this gun and painted it black I flipped over the stock to resemble vera... then started to match the paint scheme as best I could this is a picture of mine next to my sons recon. I liked it, but it was missing something.. I found someone else attempted to do the same thing after seeing mine. they had a suppressor on the end of theirs... I liked that, so added it. its just a dowel rod that fits into the barrel, with some duck tape inside to make it a tight fit. the the big end is PVC pipe that I drilled holes into. the Mag is just card board and black duck tape formed over the original mag. the ammo is just painted on.. I am trying to come up with a better Idea for this, but its all I got for now the ammo on the back are wood dowel rods sitting on top of a small piece of wood. all painted to look like the real thing as best as I could still a work in progress.. I want to put something on the side of the ammo on the back...kinda box them in on the bottom.. going to use a small peice of wood or something.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. I'd like my own Vera. Maybe someday... I have to finish Boo first.

Thanks for sharing . This project has inspired me to try my hand at mod'ing a nerf gun into a "Vera". I will photo my progress when I begin and post my results.
Now onto E-Bay.... ;D
